Going live and connections

My stream won't go live

Multistreaming

Stream24 needs a connected source and at least one saved channel that is switched on before Start Broadcast sends anything out.

  1. Connect your source first. With OBS or another encoder, start streaming there: the preview in Stream24 lights up when your stream arrives.

Watch: Paste both into OBS0:46, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  2. Set up each channel and click Save. Choose Account to sign in once and let Stream24 load the key, or paste the stream key from the platform's live dashboard.

Watch: Connect with your account1:38, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  3. Switch on every channel you want for this broadcast.

Watch: Switch on your channels1:58, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  4. When the source is ready, click Start Broadcast.

OBS or my encoder can't connect to Stream24

  1. In OBS, open Settings, then Stream, and choose Custom as the service.

Watch: Paste both into OBS0:30, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  2. Paste the RTMP server exactly as Stream24 shows it under Choose Encoder: rtmp://app.stream24.io/live

Watch: Copy the RTMP server0:19, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  3. Paste your whole stream key from Stream24. Keep it private; if it has been shared, reset it and paste the new key.

Watch: Copy your stream key0:25, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  4. The same server and key work in vMix and hardware encoders.
