My stream won't go live

Stream24 needs a connected source and at least one saved channel that is switched on before Start Broadcast sends anything out.

  1. Connect your source first. With OBS or another encoder, start streaming there: the preview in Stream24 lights up when your stream arrives.

Watch: Paste both into OBS0:46, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  2. Set up each channel and click Save. Choose Account to sign in once and let Stream24 load the key, or paste the stream key from the platform's live dashboard.

Watch: Connect with your account1:38, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  3. Switch on every channel you want for this broadcast.

Watch: Switch on your channels1:58, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  4. When the source is ready, click Start Broadcast.

Watch: Click Start Broadcast2:06, in Stream24 full walkthrough

OBS or my encoder can't connect to Stream24

Encoders connect with a custom RTMP server and your Stream24 stream key, both copied from Choose Encoder.

  1. In OBS, open Settings, then Stream, and choose Custom as the service.

Watch: Paste both into OBS0:30, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  2. Paste the RTMP server exactly as Stream24 shows it under Choose Encoder: rtmp://app.stream24.io/live

Watch: Copy the RTMP server0:19, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  3. Paste your whole stream key from Stream24. Keep it private; if it has been shared, reset it and paste the new key.

Watch: Copy your stream key0:25, in Multistream from OBS or any encoder
  4. The same server and key work in vMix and hardware encoders.

One platform isn't showing my stream

Each channel needs to be saved, switched on, and within the number of platforms your plan streams to at once.

  1. Check the channel is switched on for this broadcast. The channel list shows every destination with its status.

Watch: Your channels1:32, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  2. Open the channel and save it again: sign in with Account so Stream24 loads the key, or paste the current key from the platform's live dashboard.

Watch: Or paste a key1:46, in Stream24 full walkthrough
  3. Your plan sets how many platforms you stream to at once: 3 on Free, 5 on Starter, and all 13 plus Custom RTMP on Pro.
